Moving to Mendham seemed to owner, Elisa DePasquale, "out in the middle of nowhere." There were absolutely no fashion boutiques in the town - not even a place to buy shoes or a new handbag. For a boutique shopper, this experience left owner Elisa DePasquale feeling even more isolated. When a store front opened up on Main Street, the opportunity was too good to pass up. Taking advice from other boutique owners, and enlisting the help of many of those owners, Elisa opened Para L'elle in May 2005.

The response was overwhelming... Mendham and local residents agreed that shopping "local" was a significantly superior venue than what the malls had been offering. After opening for a year or more, several other boutiques opened in Mendham providing a more complete shopping experience for its residents and visitors to the area. It's no secret that we were the innovators in this area, and the first to open such a store in Mendham. Keeping that in mind, shopping at Para L'elle consistently reminds you why they continue to be the trend-setters in this town!
